Angel Falls – Venezuela

The beautiful Angel Falls in Venezuela is home to the highest waterfalls in the world, and if it looks familiar it should! It was the location in Up where Carl and Ellie wanted to retire, and where (spoilers) their home ended up. Full of amazing views as far as the eye can see, it is an incredible natural phenomenon that will leave visitors amazed. Angel Falls is in a very remote part of the jungle, and can only be accessed via plane from Ciudad Guayana or Ciudad Bolivar.

This surreal lake in Senegal is a sight that has to be seen to be believed. With pink/red waters, there is simply no other place like Lake Retba on the planet! And don’t drink the water. The salt content is incredibly high, which allows certain flora to grow which turn the liquid its unique color.

Devil’s Marbles – Northern Territory, Australia

Australia has many amazing phenomena, from Ayres Rock to the Great Barrier Reef. However, the Devil’s Marbles may not only be the most underrated natural phenomenon on the planet, but also the most beautiful. These two large rocks are not only beautiful, but also sacred to the Aboriginal people of the region, so be respectful when you make your visit.

Lapland, Finland

In winter, the spectacular snowscape sparkles by the light of the stars and the northern lights during the kaamos (polar night). By contrast, the seemingly endless summer days under the midnight sun are perfect for watching wildlife and exploring the great outdoors, before the autumn colours – known as the ruska – set the countryside a-flame.
